Poncho mood

Poncho fever? This season has been a boom for ponchos or capes, we found them everywhere in all its colours and length. I first saw it on Olivia Palermo and I LOVED it, I mean, I love everything that this woman wear, but also I found it great to be inspired by a different culture though a garment.

About the look: This poncho I'm wearing today is a typical one, I mean, I bought it in Mexico to the people that made it, and they wear this typical clothes to their daily life. It will be always better to buy to the artisan, I don't know, it feels special, isn' it?

Personally, I was not that sure to wear my poncho here in Europe because the coldness here compared to Mexico its not the same, but I tried it and I have to say it kept me super warm. Also, I love the fact that it is very comfortable but still fashionable, because you can style it in very different ways!

Esta temporada ha sido un boom para los ponchos o capas, se encuentran en todas las tiendas de ropa en todos los colores y tamaños. La primera fashionista que vi portando uno fue Olivia Palermo, y amé ese look, bueno me encanta todo lo ella que se ponga, pero màs allà de quién lo usa, me fascina la idea de recordar la bella cultura andina a través de una prenda tan representativa.

Sobre mi look: Este poncho que estoy usando hoy es un poncho tìpico, yo lo llamo asì porque lo compré en México directamente con el artesano, que a su vez también usa este tipo de prendas tìpicas todos los dìas. Creo que siempre serà mejor comprar al artesano, no sòlo por la calidad y el precio, sino también porque sientes que tu prenda es especial, no creen?

Por otro lado, no estaba muy segura de poder usa este poncho que tanto me gusta aquì en Europa porque el frìo que hace aquì no se compara con el frìo de México, pero bueno, me lo puse para ver si soportaba el frìo, y cuàl fue mi sorpresa? No me dio nada de frìo, al contrario me mantuvo super abrigada! Otra de las cosas que me gustan de los ponchos es que son sùper còmodos y combinables, depende còmo se combinen pueden crearse looks geniales!
